Business Crawls onto Web 2.0

as this eMarketer.com research shows.

As posted earlier, it seems that the gap between the minority of web 2.0 advocates and bloggers – such as yours truly – and the majority of the corporate world is still huge and doesn’t seem to close soon.

My personal take in this is that travel, news items and videos are what interests the general audience and most of the rest that corporations could blog about or publish on social media is just not that interesting to the public at large.

This is evident in the lack of actual postings by the majority of web users. It is still very much a viewing audience, with minority participation. Again, travel should be the exception due to the general interest in the topic.
