Google Lively

is their entry into the virtual world until now the pretty much limited to Second Life. Although I’ve never been a fan of Second Life and their numbers haven’t shown strong growth lately, the Google effort might renew the interest.

How it will affect the way businesses are marketing themselves remains to be seen. Seems to me at least another medium competing for people’s already limited time and attention.

    Interesting You Tube re: Google Lively. I agree with your comment about another medium competing for people's limited time.
  • I wouldn't say it's competing for attention. It's another tool for webmasters to embed on their websites - think of it as a platform allowing users site owners and brands to connect with each other.

    As for Growth, It's only been available since yesterday so give it a week or two and it will be riveting.
